How do I apply?
Please be aware that due to data protection reasons we can only process applications that are submitted via our online tool. You can start the online application process simply by clicking on the “Apply now” button in the job advertisement. Do you have your cover letter and CV ready? Then you will need a maximum of 10 minutes to send everything.
Do I need a cover letter?
A cover letter is not mandatory, but it can be helpful. If you choose to include a cover letter with your application, we appreciate an explanation of your motivation for the specific position.
Are certificates important?
A complete application should include certificates (e.g. university degree certificates or, if available, references from former employers). However, these can also be submitted later via our career portal.
How long before the desired start date should I apply?
Since reviewing your application and the selection process take some time and there are set entry dates for various areas, you should apply as early as possible. The application deadlines for individual positions vary. As long as the position is advertised, you can apply for it.

How long will my personal data be stored?
Your personal data will be stored for a period of twelve months and then permanently deleted unless you have given consent to be included in the applicant pool.
Who can see my application documents/data?
The application documents and data are only visible to our recruiting team and the hiring managers from the respective department.
Are unsolicited applications possible?

How can I prepare for a job interview?
The goal of the interviews is to determine why the position is a good fit for you, to get to know you, and to answer your and our questions. If we plan to conduct a case study or something similar, we will inform you in advance and let you know what preparation is required. In any case, it makes sense if you familiarize yourself with thyssenkrupp Uhde beforehand to get an initial impression of the company.
When can I expect feedback?
Our departments and recruiting team strive to provide prompt feedback. However, for positions with a large number of applications, it may take some time.
What is the application process like?
After submitting your application through our career portal, our recruiters will review it and then forward it to the relevant department.
If there is interest in further discussion after the technical review, an initial digital meeting will take place.
If the mutual feedback is positive, you will be invited to a personal interview at the respective location.
If this meeting is also successful, we will present you with a contract offer.
Will my travel expenses be reimbursed?
We will reimburse you for travel expenses incurred due to the interview by covering the costs for the round trip (including travel by car) according to the 2nd class train fare. Travel to/from the train station will be reimbursed. Other travel expenses will not be covered.
Is there a home office policy?
Currently, we allow mobile working up to 60% of your working time. However, this policy depends on the individual position and any departmental regulations.
Can I reapply after being rejected?
Yes, you can reapply at any time after a rejection. The number of applications for many positions is very high, and often, only small differences lead to a rejection.
